A nd all the people came to cause David to eat bread while it was yet day; but David swore, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread or aught else till the sun be down!

Poi tutto il popolo venne per invitare Davide a prendere cibo, mentre era ancora giorno; ma Davide giurò dicendo: «Cosí mi faccia DIO e anche peggio se assaggerò pane o alcun'altra cosa prima che tramonti il sole».
