A nd when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him secretly, and smote him there in the belly, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

Quando Abner fu tornato a Ebron, Ioab lo trasse in disparte nello spazio fra le due porte, come volendogli parlare in segreto, e lì lo colpì al ventre e lo uccise; fece questo per vendicare il sangue di suo fratello Asael.
