A nd Barzillai was very aged, eighty years old; and it was he that had maintained the king while he abode at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.

Barzilai era foarte bătrîn, în vîrstă de optzeci de ani. El îngrijise de împărat în timpul şederii lui la Mahanaim, căci era un om foarte bogat.
