A nd all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over; the king also himself passed over the torrent Kidron, and all the people passed over, towards the way of the wilderness.

Toţi oamenii din acel ţinut plângeau în hohote, în timp ce treceau toţi acei oameni. Regele a trecut şi el uedul Chidron şi toţi cei care-l însoţeau s-au îndreptat spre pustie.
