Genesis 50:11 ~ Génesis 50:11

A nd the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning at the threshing-floor of Atad, and they said, This is a grievous mourning of the Egyptians. Therefore the name of it was called Abel-Mizraim, which is beyond the Jordan.

Al ver los cananeos, que habitaban esa región, el llanto que había en el campo de Atad, dijeron: «Grande es el llanto de los egipcios.» Por eso aquel lugar recibió el nombre de «Abel Mizrayin». Este lugar está al otro lado del Jordán.
