T hen they said one to another, We are indeed guilty concerning our brother, whose anguish of soul we saw when he besought us, and we did not hearken; therefore this distress is come upon us.

Allora si dicevano l’uno all’altro: «Sì, noi fummo colpevoli verso nostro fratello, giacché vedemmo la sua angoscia quando egli ci supplicava, ma non gli demmo ascolto! Ecco perché ci viene addosso quest’angoscia».
