A nd he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy lace, and thy staff which is in thy hand. And he gave her, and went in to her; and she conceived by him.

Judá le dijo: «¿Y qué prenda quieres que te dé?» Y ella respondió: «Tu sello, tu cordón, y el báculo que tienes en la mano.» Judá se los dio, y se allegó a ella, y ella concibió de él.
