T hen Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, she is certainly thy wife; and how saidst thou, She is my sister? and Isaac said to him, Because I said, Lest I die on account of her.

Entonces Abimelec llamó a Isaac, y le dijo: “Ciertamente ella es tu mujer. ¿Por qué, pues, dijiste: ‘Es mi hermana’?” “Porque me dije: ‘No sea que yo muera por causa de ella’” respondió Isaac.
