A nd Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth together out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to go into the land of Canaan, and came as far as Haran, and dwelt there.

Tha-rê dẫn Áp-ram, con trai mình, Lót, con trai Ha-ran, cháu mình, và Sa-rai, vợ Áp-ram, tức dâu mình, đồng ra khỏi U-rơ, thuộc về xứ Canh-đê, đặng qua xứ Ca-na-an. Khi đến Cha-ran thì lập gia cư tại đó.
