只 可 打 他 四 十 下 ， 不 可 過 數 ； 若 過 數 ， 便 是 輕 賤 你 的 弟 兄 了 。

Forty stripes he may give him and not exceed lest if he should exceed and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should be despised before thee.
