З атова, цар Седекия се закле скришно на Еремия, казвайки: Заклевам ти се в живота на Господа, Който е създал душите ни, че няма да те умъртвя, нито ще те предам в ръката на тия човеци, които искат живота ти.

So Zedekiah the king swore secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD lives, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.
