К огато Самуил принасяше всеизгарянето, понеже филистимците се приближиха да се бият с Израел, в същия ден Господ прогръмя със силен гръм върху филистимците и ги смути; и те бяха поразени пред Израел.

As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to attack Israel. But the Lord thundered with a great voice that day against the Philistines and threw them into confusion, and they were defeated before Israel.
