A nd as Samuel was offering up the burnt-offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel; but Jehovah thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten down before Israel.

Pe cînd aducea Samuel arderea de tot, Filistenii s'au apropiat ca să bată pe Israel. Domnul a tunat în ziua aceea cu mare vuiet împotriva Filistenilor, şi i -a pus pe fugă. Au fost bătuţi dinaintea lui Israel.
