T hen said Saul to his armorbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armorbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took his sword, and fell upon it.

Saul disse al suo scudiero: «Sfodera la tua spada e trafiggimi con essa, non vengano questi incirconcisi a trafiggermi e a farsi beffe di me». Ma il suo scudiero non volle, perché era tutto spaventato. Allora Saul prese la spada e vi si gettò sopra.
