A nd Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of Jehovah, saying, Jehovah shall be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed, for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city.


Gionatan disse a Davide: «Va’ in pace, ora che abbiamo fatto tutti e due questo giuramento nel nome del Signore. Il Signore sia testimone fra me e te, e fra la mia e la tua discendenza, per sempre». Davide si alzò e se ne andò, e Gionatan tornò in città.
