A nd the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou comest to Gai, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.

Atunci luptătorii lui Israel şi cei ai lui Iuda s-au ridicat, au scos un strigăt de război şi i-au urmărit pe filisteni până la intrarea în Gat şi până la porţile Ekronului. Filistenii, răniţi de moarte, au căzut pe drumul Şaarayimului până la Gat şi la Ekron.
