S o she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz, to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and she dwelt with her mother-in-law.

Astfel, Rut a stat aproape de slujnicele lui Boaz şi a cules până când s-a încheiat seceratul orzului şi al grâului. Ea locuia împreună cu soacra ei.
