A nd the men of Ephraim said unto him, Why hast thou served us thus, that thou calledst us not, when thou wentest to fight with Midian? And they did chide with him sharply.

Efraimiţii i-au zis lui Ghedeon: – Cum ai putut să te porţi astfel cu noi? De ce nu ne-ai chemat şi pe noi când te-ai dus să lupţi împotriva midianiţilor? Şi au început o ceartă aprigă cu el.
