a nd Adam was not beguiled, but the woman being beguiled hath fallen into transgression:

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ آدَمُ هُوَ الَّذِي احتِيلَ عَلَيهِ، بَلِ المَرأةُ هِيَ الَّتِي احتِيلَ عَلَيها فَوَقَعَتْ فِي الخَطِيَّةِ.
