b ecause they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

porque no fueron al encuentro de ustedes con pan y agua en el camino cuando salieron de Egipto, y porque alquilaron contra ti a Balaam, hijo de Beor, de Petor en Mesopotamia, para maldecirte.
