I f there be with thee a poor man, one of thy brethren, within any of thy gates in thy land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy poor brother;

S'il y a chez toi quelque indigent d'entre tes frères, dans l'une de tes portes, au pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne, tu n'endurciras point ton coeur et tu ne fermeras point ta main devant ton frère indigent.
