T hrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day have I been in the deep;

وَضُرِبتُ بِالعِصِيِّ ثَلاثَ مَرّاتٍ، وَرُجِمتُ مَرَّةً، وَتَحَطَّمَتْ بِي السَّفِينَةُ ثَلاثَ مَرّاتٍ، وَأمضَيتُ نَهاراً وَلَيلَةً فِي مِياهِ البَحرِ.
