a nd he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision; that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned unto them;

Apoi a primit ca semn tăierea împrejur, ca o pecete a acelei neprihăniri, pe care o căpătase prin credinţă, cînd era netăiat împrejur. Şi aceasta, pentru ca să fie tatăl tuturor celor cari cred, măcar că nu sînt tăiaţi împrejur; ca, adică, să li se socotească şi lor neprihănirea aceasta;
