b ut he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

ci, mai degrabă, iudeu este cel care este iudeu înăuntru, iar circumcizie este cea a inimii, în duh, nu în literă. Un astfel de om îşi primeşte lauda nu de la oameni, ci de la Dumnezeu.
