Romans 13:1 ~ Romans 13:1

L et every soul be in subjection to the higher powers: for there is no power but of God; and the powers that be are ordained of God.

Let every person be loyally subject to the governing (civil) authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist do so by God’s appointment.
