A nd as Lydda was nigh unto Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men unto him, entreating him, Delay not to come on unto us.

The city of Lydda was near Joppa. The followers heard that Peter was at Lydda and sent two men to ask him to come at once.
