A nd Saul was consenting unto his death. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church which was in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

Saul avait approuvé le meurtre d'Étienne. Il y eut, ce jour-là, une grande persécution contre l'Église de Jérusalem; et tous, excepté les apôtres, se dispersèrent dans les contrées de la Judée et de la Samarie.
