T hen Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the Wise-men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the male children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had exactly learned of the Wise-men.

Atunci Irod, cînd a văzut că fusese înşelat de magi, s'a mîniat foarte tare, şi a trimes să omoare pe toţi pruncii de parte bărbătească, dela doi ani în jos, cari erau în Betleem şi în toate împrejurimile lui, potrivit cu vremea, pe care o aflase întocmai dela magi.
