A nd Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt-offering, and I will go: peradventure Jehovah will come to meet me; and whatsoever he showeth me I will tell thee. And he went to a bare height.

Apoi Balaam i-a zis lui Balak: „Rămâi aici lângă arderea ta de tot, iar eu mă voi duce mai încolo. Poate Domnul mă va întâlni şi astfel cuvântul pe care mi-l va descoperi ţi-l voi dezvălui şi ţie.“ Şi s-a dus într-un loc mai înalt.
