B ind the chariot to the swift steed, O inhabitant of Lachish: she was the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion; for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.

Înhamă-ţi caii la carul de luptă, locuitoare a Lachişului! Tu ai fost cea dintâi pricină de păcătuire pentru fiica Sionului, căci în tine au fost găsite nelegiuirile lui Israel.
