O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies' sake.

Inclina tu oído, Dios mío, y escucha. Abre tus ojos y mira nuestras desolaciones y la ciudad sobre la cual se invoca tu nombre; pues no es por nuestros propios méritos que presentamos nuestras súplicas delante de ti, sino por tu gran compasión.
