T hen said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: If thou wilt go forth unto the king of Babylon's princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thy house.

Jérémie dit alors à Sédécias: Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Si tu vas te rendre aux chefs du roi de Babylone, tu auras la vie sauve, et cette ville ne sera pas brûlée par le feu; tu vivras, toi et ta maison.
