W hat unto me is the multitude of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah: I have had enough of the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he-goats.

«Che m’importa dei vostri numerosi sacrifici?», dice il Signore; «io sono sazio degli olocausti di montoni e del grasso di bestie ingrassate; il sangue dei tori, degli agnelli e dei capri, io non lo gradisco.
