A nd he was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

وَبَقِيَ مُوسَى هُناكَ مَعَ اللهِ أرْبَعِينَ نَهاراً وَأربَعِينَ لَيلَةً، لَمْ يَأكُلْ فِيها طَعاماً وَلَمْ يَشرَبْ ماءً. وَكَتَبَ وَصايا العَهدِ العَشْرَ عَلَى لَوحَيِّ الحَجَرِ. وَجهُ مُوسَى الَّلامِع
