H owbeit Jehovah would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a lamp to him and to his children alway.

耶 和 华 却 因 自 己 与 大 卫 所 立 的 约 ， 不 肯 灭 大 卫 的 家 ， 照 他 所 应 许 的 ， 永 远 赐 灯 光 与 大 卫 和 他 的 子 孙 。
