B ehold, I am about to build a house for the name of Jehovah my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt-offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Jehovah our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.

Iată, vreau să zidesc o Casă pentru Numele Domnului, Dumnezeul meu, ca să i-o închin Lui, să ard tămâie mirositoare în prezenţa Lui, să aduc continuu în el pâinea prezentării, arderile de tot de dimineaţă şi de seară, de Sabat, de lună nouă şi cu ocazia fiecărei sărbători a Domnului, Dumnezeul nostru, căci aceasta este o lege veşnică pentru Israel.
