A nd the children of Israel did secretly things that were not right against Jehovah their God: and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fortified city;

Os israelitas praticaram o mal secretamente contra o Senhor, o seu Deus. Em todas as suas cidades, desde as torres das sentinelas até as cidades fortificadas, eles construíram altares idólatras.
