h ear thou in heaven thy dwelling-place, and do according to all that the foreigner calleth to thee for; that all the peoples of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by my name.

xin Chúa ở trên trời, là nơi Chúa ngự, dủ nghe và làm theo mọi điều người khách lạ sẽ cầu xin Chúa để cho muôn dân của thế gian nhận biết danh Chúa, kính sợ Chúa, y như dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài, và cho biết rằng danh Chúa xưng ra trên đền này mà tôi đã xây cất.
