A nd Benaiah came to the Tent of Jehovah, and said unto him, Thus saith the king, Come forth. And he said, Nay; but I will die here. And Benaiah brought the king word again, saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me.

Benaia a ajuns la cortului Domnului, şi a zis lui Ioab:,, Ieşi! căci aşa porunceşte împăratul.`` Dar el a răspuns:,, Nu! vreau să mor aici.`` Benaia a spus lucrul acesta împăratului, zicînd:,, Aşa a vorbit Ioab, şi aşa mi -a răspuns``.
