W hereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold; and he said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

După ce s-a sfătuit, regele a făcut doi viţei de aur şi a zis poporului: „Este prea mult pentru voi să mergeţi până la Ierusalim. Israele, iată zeii tăi care te-au scos din ţara Egiptului!“
