A nd it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah feareth king Solomon; for, lo, he hath laid hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me first that he will not slay his servant with the sword.

Y avisaron a Salomón, diciéndo le: “Adonías tiene miedo del rey Salomón, y se ha asido de los cuernos del altar, diciendo: ‘Que el rey Salomón me jure hoy que no matará a espada a su siervo.’”
