S o all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Jehovah: and they anointed David king over Israel.

Toţi cei din sfatul bătrânilor lui Israel veniseră la rege, în Hebron, astfel că regele David a încheiat legământ cu ei înaintea Domnului la Hebron. Apoi ei l-au uns pe David ca rege peste Israel.
