2 Samuel 21:17 ~ ﺻﻤﻮﺋﻴﻞ ﺍﻟﺜﺎﻧﻲ 21:17

B ut Abishai the son of Zeruiah succored him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the lamp of Israel.

لَكِنَّ أبيشايَ بنَ صُرُوِيَّةَ قَتَلَ الفِلسطِيَّ وَأنْقَذَ داوُدَ. ثُمَّ قطَعَ رِجالُ داوُدَ وَعْداً خاصّاً للملِكِ فَقالوا لهُ: «لا يَنْبَغِي أنْ تَخْرُجَ مَعَنا إلَى المَعْرَكَةِ فِيما بَعْدُ. فإنْ فَعَلْتَ، رُبَّما تَخْسَرُ إسْرائِيل أعْظَمَ قادَتِها.»
