B ut the people said, Thou shalt not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but thou art worth ten thousand of us; therefore now it is better that thou be ready to succor us out of the city.

Mas el pueblo dijo: No saldrás; porque si nosotros tenemos que huir, no harán caso de nosotros; y aunque la mitad de nosotros muera, no harán caso de nosotros; mas tú ahora vales tanto como diez mil de nosotros. Será, pues, mejor que tú nos des ayuda desde la ciudad.
