A nd Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, that he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel will hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then will the hands of all that are with thee be strong.

Y Ajitofel le aconsejó: «Ve al palacio de tu padre y acuéstate con sus concubinas, las que se quedaron cuidando el palacio. Cuando el pueblo lo sepa, pensará que tu padre te aborrecerá, y así la gente se unirá más a ti.»
