T hen Samuel said to all the house of Israel, If you are returning to the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your hearts to the Lord and serve Him only, and He will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

І сказав Самуїл до всього Ізраїлевого дому, говорячи: Якщо ви цілим вашим серцем вертаєтеся до Господа, повикидайте з-поміж себе чужих богів та Астарт, і міцно прихиліть свої серця до Господа, і служіть Самому Йому, і Він спасе вас із руки филистимлян.
