S o they sent and assembled all the lords of the Philistines and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel; let it return to its own place, that it may not slay us and our people. For there was a deadly panic throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.

Au convocat o întâlnire cu toţi domnitorii filistenilor şi le-au spus: – Trimiteţi de la noi Chivotul Dumnezeului lui Israel ca să se întoarcă la locul său şi astfel să nu ne omoare pe noi şi pe poporul nostru – căci era o panică de moarte în toată cetatea, deoarece mâna Domnului apăsa foarte greu acolo.
