T hen said Abishai to David, God has given your enemy into your hands this day. Now therefore let me smite him to the earth at once with one stroke of the spear, and I will not strike him twice.

Da sprach Abisai zu David: Gott hat deinen Feind heute in deine Hand beschlossen; so will ich ihn nun mit dem Spieß stechen in die Erde einmal, daß er's nicht mehr bedarf.
