S aul and his men went to seek him. And David was told; so he went down to the rock in the Wilderness of Maon and stayed. When Saul heard that, he pursued David in the Wilderness of Maon.

Y partió Saúl con sus varones a buscarlo; pero fue dado aviso a David, y descendió de allí a la peña, y se quedó en el desierto de Maón. Lo cual cuando Saúl oyó, siguió a David al desierto de Maón.
