N ow a certain man of Saul’s servants was there that day, detained before the Lord; his name was Doeg the Edomite, the chief of Saul’s herdsmen.

وَكانَ أحَدُ رِجالِ شاوُلَ هُناكَ فِي ذَلِكَ اليَومِ، وَهُوَ دُواغُ الأدُومِيُّ. وَكانَ مُشرِفاً عَلَى رِعاةِ شاوُلَ. فَقَدْ حُجِزَ هُناكَ أمامَ اللهِ.
